What You Do:
  • Initially will lead the establishment and ramp-up of manufacturing at a large, high-volume, cutting-edge automotive manufacturing operation.
As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis will also:
  • Establish strong team member relations, at all levels and provide support for people development, coaching, and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with Japanese team members from Mazda and Toyota.
  • Work with headquarters to develop a productivity tracking system.
  • Facilitate production process time studies to create productivity/efficiency targets.
  • Use product demand to create an annual manpower budget.
  • Work with cross-functional departments to determine production takt time.
  • Report productivity results in monthly financial reporting meetings to senior management.
  • Create monthly, weekly and daily reports to visualize plan vs. actual productivity results.
  • Identify and calculate the cost impact of projects (capital) that improve productivity/efficiency.
  • Create job instructions for critical processes.
  • Create productivity training material for all departments.
  • Demonstrate innovation in collaborating with other departments to develop effective product data and reports from various systems.
  • Manage and report year-over-year productivity results.
  • Support cost management activities for Assembly lines.
  • Provide forecast/actual/budget analysis.
  • Motivate cost improvement activities across the plant.
  • Ability to work outside of typical business hours and travel as needed (domestically and internationally).
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Engineering, Technology, or any business-related field.
  • 3 years of Manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with MS Excel.
  • Experience with MS Access.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
