We are looking for a Field Service Engineer (FSE) in and/or around the Boston, MA area to join our team of dedicated field service professionals. The FSE provides frontline support by resolving customers' problems and issues through technical expertise and troubleshooting and will contribute to the growth of the Service organization by identifying new value-add opportunities.

Key responsibilities:
  • Serve as lead to assigned customers - complete troubleshooting, installation, validation, maintenance, and service repair needs on designated product lines.
  • Identify business opportunities (PM’s, new Service Plan leads, new system leads) that help us continue to deliver double-digit growth.
  • Focus on customer needs and satisfaction, while building and fostering positive and professional relationships with both external and internal customers.
  • Promote a consistently positive image of the service organization, our values, and the value of our products and services.
  • Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities daily such completing work orders, returning parts, following up with customers, etc.
  • Align with vendor credentialing requirements including but not limited to drug testing.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Biology, or related field. Or appropriate industry experience of equivalent complexity as a field service engineer
  • Ability to travel 50% - 75% in defined territory
  • Maintain a Valid driver’s license that meets Molecular Device’s safe driver standards and able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. (Frequent bending, squatting, and standing are required)
  • Preferred qualifications:
  • Prefer a minimum of 1-3 years of experience with scientific research instruments, scientific background, or similar technical exposure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications. Ability to quickly learn and master additional software applications desired
